A Willa Weekend

Emmett's grandparents were in town this weekend. They rented a room via vrbo.com just around the corner.

Oh, it was just dreamy having help around the house. When Emmett was fussy, we could just hand him off. In case we haven't been clear over the past month: Grandparents are always welcome to visit San Francisco and change diapers.

Grandpa Ron spend much of his time here staining our deck. It looks fantastic now.

On Sunday, we took advantage of the great weather and went to the Botanical Gardens at Golden Gate Park. Yeah, I know, we take everyone there... what can I say, we're a very boring family.

Emmett - Weeks 2 & 3

Emmett has enjoyed getting out on the town during his second and third weeks of life. He's a regular at Ritual Coffee on Valencia St and he's now three for three in making an appearance at a local, weekend Farmers Market.

Emmett and mommy attended a "Mom and Babies Yoga Class" on Tuesday morning. Emmett was the most well-behaved kid in the class! Could have something to do with the fact that he was months younger than the rest of the babes. Ah, I'm sure he'll have his fussy moments at future classes. It was fab for mom to have a chance to enjoy a post-partum workout in a supportive environment.

A Great (but verbose) Explanation of the Financial Crisis

From a professor at George Mason University:

Quick update

I went back to work on Monday, leaving Melissa and Emmett home alone. The first day was rough - Emmett was fussy and kept Melissa busy most of Sunday night and Monday morning. But since then things have calmed down and Melissa is managing well.

Emmett had his second doctor's appointment yesterday. He's 7lb 8 oz, a huge improvement. He's growing over 1oz / day!!
