Emmett's grandparents were in town this weekend. They rented a room via vrbo.com just around the corner.
Oh, it was just dreamy having help around the house. When Emmett was fussy, we could just hand him off. In case we haven't been clear over the past month: Grandparents are always welcome to visit San Francisco and change diapers.
Grandpa Ron spend much of his time here staining our deck. It looks fantastic now.
On Sunday, we took advantage of the great weather and went to the Botanical Gardens at Golden Gate Park. Yeah, I know, we take everyone there... what can I say, we're a very boring family.

Little Emmett is looking more and more like daddy now, and he's already been out so much. Can't wait to meet him soon.
Melissa,
I recall reading your post months ago about Emmett's grandparents renting with VRBO.com, sister site of HomeAway.com. I thought perhaps you might like to try the same experience yourself or let the grandparents know that they could vacation again this summer and let us pay for it. HomeAway has launched a new “Save Our Summer Vacation” contest. People are invited to submit entries on why they are most deserving of a vacation. The winner will receive a $10,000 grand prize getaway and two runners-up will each receive a $5,000 getaway. HomeAway is also asking people to sign a petition to Congress proclaiming August 7 a National Vacation Day. Visit www.saveoursummervacation.com to find out more.
Enter soon as the deadline to enter is July 2
Last year's winner, Emmy O'Dwyer - mother of 3, won the contest with only 677 votes.
